Our Mission Those experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy, alopecia and other medical causes, find themselves – often suddenly -- in urgent need of a natural-looking, affordably-priced wig. For years salons were the only source for wigs, but the selection was limited, and the pricing at levels many could not afford. Then came the internet, and medical patients were presented a much larger selection of wigs in literally thousands of styles and colors – all at affordable prices. Unfortunately, due to pressure from the salons, suppliers have forced all online wig retailers to sell at higher fixed prices, once again resulting in a product many medical patients cannot afford. As a non-profit organization, we are dedicated to providing an online source for high quality medical wigs at prices everyone can afford! Donations are tax-deductible, and all appropriate documentation will be provided within one business week of the date the donation is received. Those making donations will then be able to submit these forms to the IRS to receive their tax deduction. Medicalwigs.org will be available internationally for any individuals experiencing hair loss. After Medical Wigs.org has successfully launched our first line of wigs for purchase by medical patients, we intend to make wigs available through The American Red Cross, The American Cancer Society and many more associations dedicated to helping people in need of these products.
